Notes for ADAM BOHN: Adam was the 5th child and the 3rd son of the marriage of Johann "Nikolaus" Bohn and his 2nd wife, Gertnid Heckmann.
He was baptized Adam Bohn 12/20/1823 at the Catholic Church of Wald Michelback Heppenheim, Germany.
Adam immigrated to the United States about 1846; came to Louisville by 1850 and was married in 1852.
Adam and George "Nicholas" both married and raised their families in Louisville, KY.
His brother, John Adam, immigrated to the United States about 1846; married in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1851; then moved to the East St Louis, IL area and raised his family in Summerfield, IL.
His youngest brother, Nicholas Bohn, immigrated about 1846; married in 18957; and raised his family in Mississippi.
His nephew, George "Peter" Bohn son of his brother, Valentin Bohn; immigrated to Louisville in 1854; married in 1867 and raised his family in Louisville, KY.
When the eldest son of Adam and Catherine Bonn Bohn was baptized, he was named John Adam Bohn and his sponsors were Nicholas and Anna Mary Bohn.
When the eldest son of his brother, George "Nicholas" and Anna Mary Haner Bohn was baptized, he was named John Adam Bohn and his sponsors were Adam and Catherine Bohn.
