1st job was railroad in Pass Christian, MS> moved from Pass Christian to New Orleans, LA. and worked at Canal Bank & Liquidation. Attended Loyola night school and studied accounting, left bank and worked at Edwards Motor Co. (Ford Dealership) in New Orleans, LA. Eventually he bought out Mr. Edwards about 1923-1924 and opened his own Ford dealership on Carrollton Avenue and L.N. Railroad, which is now Earhard Blvd. around 1925 he built new dealership on Broad and Washington Avenue in New Orleans, LA., Name of Dealership was Bohn Motor Company. This dealership remained at that location until approximately 1997 when Bobby Bohn (nephew to Donald Bohn, Sr. and Grandson of George Washington Bohn) moved to North Carrollton Avenue in New Orleans, LA.
George married Kathleen Louise Aime McHugh, daughter of James McHugh and Bavriel Banchin, on 19 Feb 1919 in New Orleans, LA. (Kathleen Louise Aime McHugh was born on 22 May 1891 in Mobile, Alabama and died on 18 Aug 1965 in New Orleans, LA.)
